Bataan is one of the seven provinces of the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. The province has two legislative district and a total of 237 barangays.
Jose Enrique “Joet” Sandejas Garcia III has been the congressman of the second district of Bataan since June 30, 2016. Born in Sampaloc, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines, he turned 47 on November 12, 2018.

Bataan has one city called Balanga and 11 municipalities namely Abucay, Bagac, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Limay, Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion, Pilar and Samal. On June 5, 2011, Dindi Joy Pajares represented Balanga at Miss Philippines Earth 2011, competed against 47 other candidates at the Puerto Princesa Coliseum in Puerto Princesa, Philippines and finished in the Top 20.
On August 16, 2014, Ivy Meerry Enriquez represented Bataan at Miss Grand Philippines 2014 and competed against 16 other candidates at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She finished in the Top 10.
On April 17, 2016, Pajares represented Bataan at Binibining Pilipinas 2016, competed against 39 other candidates at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila and finished in the Top 15. On April 30, 2017, Kimberly Pajares represented the province at Bb. Pilipinas 2017 and competed against 39 other candidates at the same venue and was unplaced.
