Bohol, Philippines is known for the Chocolate Hills, a geological formation with more than 1,200 hills made of grass-covered limestone. The province is home to Carlos Polestico Garcia and Anna Maris Igpit.

Garcia served as the 10th governor of the province from December 30, 1933 to December 30, 1941 and a senator of the Philippines from May 25, 1945 to December 30, 1953. He was the country’s vice president from December 30, 1953 to March 18, 1957 and president from March 18, 1957 to December 30, 1961.

On September 30, 2006, Igpit represented the Philippines at Miss World 2006 and competed against 103 other candidates at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. She was unplaced.
