Camarines Sur is one of the six provinces of the Bicol Region of the Philippines. The others are Albay, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, Masbate and Sorsogon.

Naga is geographically located in Camarines Sur but the city is independent from the province. Iriga is the only component city in the province, which has 35 municipalities including Bula.

On May 19, 2013, Katherine Dominique Lagrimas represented Iriga at Miss Philippines Earth 2013 and competed against 46 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was unplaced.

On May 31, 2015, Jhelie Habana represented Bula at Miss Philippines Earth 2015 and competed against 37 other candidates at the same venue. She was unplaced.

On April 30, 2017, Rachel Louise Obregon Peters represented Camarines Sur at Binibining Pilipinas 2017 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila. She ranked first and was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2017.
