Pampanga is one of the seven provinces in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. The others are Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Zambales.

Angeles is geographically located in Pampanga but the city is independent from the province. The province has two component cities namely Mabalacat and San Fernando and 19 municipalities namely Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor, Candaba, Floridablanca, Guagua, Lubao, Macabebe, Magalang, Masantol, Mexico, Minalin, Porac, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santa Rita, Santo Tomas and Sasmuan.
On June 11, 2016, Korina Christiene Reyes represented San Fernando at Miss Philippines Earth 2016 and competed against 45 other candidates at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She was unplaced.
On July 15, 2017, Anne Krishia T. Antonio represented Porac at Miss Philippines Earth 2017 and competed against 38 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. She finished in the Top 10 and named one of the five runners-up.
