Pasig is one of the 16 cities in Metro Manila, Philippines. The others are Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig and Valenzuela.

Victor Ma. Regis “Vico” Nubla Sotto became a councilor in Pasig on June 30, 2016. He was born in Quezon City to Marvic Valentin “Vic” Castelo Sotto and Constancia Angeline Reyes Nubla, who is professionally known as Coney Reyes.

On June 17, 2019, Vico will turn 30. On June 30, 2019, he will assume office as the mayor of Pasig.

On June 11, 2016, Jessica Jane Morales represented Pasig at Miss Philippines Earth 2016 and competed against 45 other candidates at the University of Philippines Theater in Quezon City. She was unplaced.

On March 18, 2018, Maria Andrea Abesamis represented Pasig at Binibining Pilipinas 2018 and competed against 39 other candidates at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. She finished in the Top 15.

On October 7, 2018, Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez represented Pasig at Miss World Philippines 2018 and competed against 39 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. She ranked third and was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018.
