2019 Quezon congressmen, governor, vice governor, board members elected

Quezon is one of the five provinces in the Calabarzon region of the Philippines. The others are Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and Rizal.

Lucena is geographically located in Quezon but the city is independent from the province. Tayabas is a component city of the province, which has 39 municipalities.

On June 30, 2019, Wilfrido Mark McCormick Enverga will assume office as the congressman of the first district of Quezon, a position he held from June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2016. He is Dr. Manuel Sarmiento Enverga‘s grandson.

On January 14, 1947, Manuel founded the Luzonian Colleges in Lucena. It was renamed Luzonian University in 1968, Luzonian University Foundation in 1970, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in 1983 and Enverga University in 2009.
