Steve Chiongbian Solon has been the governor of Saranggani, Philippines since June 30, 2013. He served as the vice governor of the province from June 30, 2007 to June 30, 2013.
After graduating from Volley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne, Pennsylvania, United States with an associate’s degree, Solon entered Fordham University in New York City, New York, USA where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines and his master’s degree in international development policy from the Duke University Sanford School of Public Policy in Durham, North Carolina, USA.
Born in Makati, Metro Manila, Solon turned 48 on March 3, 2019. His grandparents James Chiongbian and Priscilla Chiongbian served as the first congressman and first governor of Sarangani, respectively.
Saranggani has seven municipalities namely Alabel, Glan, Kiamba, Maasim, Maitum, Malapatan and Malungon. Alabel is the capital of the province.

Saranggani became a province on March 16, 1992. It was originally from of South Cotabato, Philippines.
