“Super” Sage Northcutt, 23, of the United States was knocked out in his ONE Championship debut. He lost to Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre, 37, of Brazil at “ONE: Enter the Dragon.”

Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and six ONE Super Series contests, which were six kickboxing bouts, “ONE: Enter the Dragon” was the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s second event in 2019 that took place in Singapore. In the 12th bout of the evening, Northcutt and Alexandre competed in an MMA match in the welterweight division with Olivier Coste as the referee.

Alexandre made good on the first big punch he landed, blasting Northcutt with a massive overhand right hook that put the American out on his feet. The Brazilian striker landed one more left hook to finish the ONE Championship debutante off.

Coste put a stop to the welterweight contest after 29 seconds in the first round when Alexandre knocked out Northcutt. The victory improved the professional MMA record of the Brazilian MMA fighter to 8 wins and 1 loss while the American contender now has 11 wins and 3 losses.

Previously, Alexandre competed in ONE Championship twice but under ONE Super Series but “ONE: Enter the Dragon” marked his first MMA bout in the promotion. The last time he competed in a professional MMA bout before facing Northcutt was in 2016.

A professional footballer before becoming a professional martial artist, Alexandre was 19 years old when he started his training in Muay Thai. He is training out of 013 Muay Thai.

While representing Team Alpha Male in the U.S., Northcutt is also training out of Evolve MMA in Singapore. He previously competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Northcutt was one of the two representatives of the U.S. at “ONE: Enter the Dragon” while Alexandre was one of the two representatives of Brazil. Argentina, Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Moldova, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine were also represented.
