Jean-Paul Bitar, 33, will represent Lebanon in Mister World 2019. He was selected from 120 applicants.
As the newly crowned Mr. World Lebanon 2019, Bitar received a motor bike, one year’s membership at a gym, spa and hairdresser, a watch and gold bracelet from jewelry sponsors as well as outfits and health and grooming gifts from sponsors. He also won flights and accommodation to Cyprus and Turkey.
Bitar hails from Lebanon’s capital city Beirut. Among the tourist destinations in the city are the Zaitunay Bay, the Pigeon Rocks, the Sursock Museum, the Grand Serail, the Roman Baths, the Saifi Village, the Moahmmad Al-Amin Mosque, the St. Nicolas Stairs and the Beit Ed-Dine Palace.
In 2015, Bitar joined the third season of the Lebanese version of “Dancing with the Stars.” He and his professional dancing partner Sandra Abbas were the second pair to be eliminated.
In the same year, Bitar was crowned the inaugural Mister Worldwide in Orlando, Florida, United States. He bested eight other contestants who were from Australia, El Salvador, India, Latvia, Pakistan, Panama, the Philippines and the U.S.
With a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Computer Science, Bitar works as a business intelligence developer and project manager for a multinational company. He has also modeled for renowned designers and major brands.
A certified personal trainer, Bitar trains at the gym regularly. He enjoys swimming, spelunking, hiking and playing basketball.
Also from Beirut, Ayman Moussa was the last one to represent Lebanon in Mr. World. In 2014, he made it to the Top 28 of the talent competition but did not place overall.
On August 23, 2019, Mr. World 2016 Rohit Khandelwal, 29, of India will crown his successor at the Mr. World 2019 coronation night at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It will be the 10th edition of the international male beauty pageant.
Mr. World 2019 marks the first time the pageant is held in the Philippines. If Bitar wins the crown, he will be the pageant’s first titleholder from Lebanon.
