James Michael Nakashima, 30, of Glendale, Maricopa County, Arizona, United States will put his undefeated professional mixed martial arts record on the line once again. Training out of MMA Lab in Glendale, he will have his third ONE Championship bout at “ONE: Dawn of Heroes” on August 2, 2019.

ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Dawn of Heroes” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It marks the third time Nakashima is competing in the country.
One of the scheduled bouts is an MMA match between Nakashima and Yushin “Thunder” Okami, 37, Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan. They will battle it out in the welterweight division.
Okami is one of the most prolific martial artists to emanate from Japan over the last two decades. With a career that began in 2002, he has competed in numerous weight classes from light heavyweight all the way down to welterweight in various Japanese promotions including Pride and Pancrase.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Nakashima has built a career around his well-calculated and intelligent bout strategies, which has brought him victory every time he has stepped into the cage. It will be no different against Okami, whom Nakashima plans to dominate from the first round to the last.
As an amateur, Nakashima made his debut in 2013 won two bouts. As a professional fighter, he made his debut in 2015.
In 2018, Nakashima joined ONE Championship. Before joining the promotion, he competed in Resurrection Fighting Alliance, Aggression Session MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance.
Currently, Nakashima holds a professional MMA record of 11 wins and 0 win. On the other hand, Okami has 35 wins and 13 losses.
