ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, 22, of Singapore will defend her title against ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 31, of China, ONE Championship has confirmed. This is the second time the two top female mixed martial artists are battling it out for a championship title.

Lee was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to a Chinese-Singaporean father and a South Korean-Canadian mother. Xiong was born in Weishan County, Shandong, China.

On March 31, 2019, Lee challenged Xiong for the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Championship in one of the two co-main events of “ONE: A New Era” at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The defending champion knocked out her challenger in the fifth round.

It marked Lee’s first loss as a professional MMA fighter. On October 13, 2019, she will have her chance to avenge herself as she faces Xiong at “ONE: Century 世紀” at the Ryogoku Kokugikan.

“ONE: Century 世紀” marks the 100th live event of ONE Championship. The promotion has yet to confirm if the rematch between Xiong and Lee is the main event.

“Set at the iconic Ryōgoku Kokugikan, three World Championship bouts are scheduled to take place alongside three World Grand Prix Championships,” ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated. “In addition, ONE Championship will be holding the inaugural World Martial Arts Week, which kicks off with our very first ONE Martial Arts Fan Fest. The biggest and brightest stars of ONE Championship are ready to shine in Tokyo, and fans will surely not want to miss the festivities.”

The ONE Martial Arts Fan Fest will be headlined by “ONE Warrior Series: Japan vs. the World” as Japan’s rising stars take on up-and-coming athletes from all around the world. Also, limited edition ONE Championship merchandise will be on sale to commemorate this special occasion.
