ONE Championship Japan president Andy Hata is excited about “ONE: Century 世紀.” Taking place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on October 13, 2019, the combat sports event is the promotion’s 100th live event.

“I am thrilled and honored to be hosting ONE’s historic 100th event in Japan,” Hata stated. “In addition to World Championship matches, it will be a special moment to see champions from Japan’s leading mixed martial arts organizations, Shooto and Pancrase, battle each other.”

“Further, the inaugural World Martial Arts Week brings not only additional excitement to fans, but an innovative week-long program that can add value to both the martial arts industry and Japan’s sports business industry as a whole,” the ONE Championship Japan president continued. “ONE looks forward to celebrating this milestone and continuing to make history in Japan.”

ONE Championship has confirmed three championship bouts on the “ONE: Century 世紀” card. One is the fourth time Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon, 31, and ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 39, of Brazil are competing.

The rematch between ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee, 22, of Singapore and ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 31, of China will also take place at “ONE: A New Era.” The Chinese fighter will make an attempt to be become a two-division title by challenging Lee in the atomweight division.

Moreover, ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera, 41, of the Philippines will challenge ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang, 33, of Myanmar. The Burmese mixed martial arts superstar is also reigning as the ONE Middleweight World Champion.

“ONE: Century 世紀” is ONE Championship’s most exciting show to date. Aside from the three world championship bouts, it will also feature three World Grand Prix Championships in the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix, ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix and the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix.
