Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, comedian and YouTube star Whindersson Nunes, 24, helped Brave Combat Federation with the announcement of the main event of “Brave 24: London.” The upcoming event is the promotion’s first event to take place in London, England.

“Brave 24: London” will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park inside the Copper Box Arena in London, England on July 25, 2019. In the main event, Lucas “Mineiro” Martins will challenge reigning Brave CF Featherweight World Champion Bubba “Bad Man” Jenkins, 31, of California, United States.

The announcement was made in exclusive fashion as Nunes made sure to use his Instagram fanbase of over 30 million followers to declare his support for Martins. Nunes is the biggest digital influencer in Brazil and is Martins’ student.

Martins will be back to his original weight class after becoming an interim champion for Brave CF at lightweight. He beat fellow Brazilian Luan “Miau” Santiago to claim the throne but then lost the belt in a unification bout against Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady.

Before going up to Lightweight, Martins was the number one contender at Featherweight, and almost fought then-champion Elias Boudegzdame. However, he fell ill before the weigh-ins and the bout was scrapped.

Meanwhile, Jenkins looks set for the first defense of his world title. The Division I wrestling champion won the BRAVE belt by dominating former champ Boudegzdame back at BRAVE 16. He has made wave recently by wanting to go down to face Bantamweight titleholder Stephen Loman but will have one of the biggest challenges of his career in the veteran “Mineiro” instead.

BRAVE Combat Federation’s first trip to England is set to be a once in a lifetime experience for the exclusive guests, in an invite-only event that will change the landscape of mixed martial arts in Europe and in the world.
