Newly crowned as the World Kickboxing Network World Super Featherweight Champion under oriental rules, Brandon Vieira of France won at “The Night of Super Fight 7” on July 6, 2019 at Piazza Sella in Iglesias, Sardinia, Italy. He defeated two-time WKN European Super Featherweight champion Nicola Canu of Italy in a battle for the WKN World Super Featherweight title in the style of low kick.

Scheduled for five rounds, the encounter went the distance and ended in favor of Vieira, who earned the win by decision. As a result Frenchman became the two-style titleholder, joining Malta’s Keith “Speed” Azzopardi, 26, who recently earned the WKN World Featherweight title in full contact and under oriental rules within two weeks.

Meanwhile, newly crowned WKN International Super Lightweight Champion Francesco Picca took on his fellow Italian kickboxer Alessandro Ragusa in the co-main event of “The Night of Super Fight 7.” Scheduled for three rounds, the 67 kg catchweight bout ended before the final bell

Picca took the win by technical knockout after he scored three knockdowns in one round, which resulted in referee waving the fight off. The undercard featured a series of bouts in kickboxing and Muay Thai.

WKN World President Stephane Cabrera attended “The Night of Super Fight 7,” which was was one of the four championship events that WKN presented on July 6, 2019. The other events took place on the same day in Portugal, Bulgaria and Argentina.

Paulo Gerson of Portugal took the WKN International Super Welterweight title after he scored the decision against Matteo Costa of Italy at “Showfight 37” in Lisbon, Portugal. Rangel Ivanov of Bulgaria claimed the WKN International Welterweight title by knockout in the third round against Stefan Sipos of Slovakia at “Savages Kickboxing” in Shumen, Bulgaria.

Fighting out of Argentina, Gaston Monroe defeated his countryman Dylan Salazar and earned the WKN Argentinian Lightweight title at “Bosch Tour 2019: Estrellas de Acero” in Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
