“Elbow Zombie” Muangthai PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym, 25, of Thailand will face Kenta Yamada, 32, of Japan at “ONE: Dreams of Gold.” ONE Championship will hold the combat sports event at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on August 16, 2019.
“ONE: Dreams of Gold” will feature mixed martial arts, kickboxing and Muay Thai. One of the Muay Thai contests is between Muangthai and Yamada.
Muangthai owns a professional Muay Thai record of 198 wins, 41 losses and 4 draws. He was successful in his ONE Championship debut in November 2018 when he defeated Panicos Yusuf by unanimous decision.
Already a three-time Muay Thai World Champion, Muangthai is looking to further his career in the world’s most prestigious all-striking league, ONE Super Series.
Yamada started his training in boxing when he was 16 years old. A former WBC Muay Thai Japan Champion, he will do his best to derail Muangthai’s progress and boost his own spot in the standings.
In the main event of “ONE: Dreams of Gold,” Ilias Ennahachi, 23, of the Netherlands will challenge reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Baby Shark” Petchdam Petchyindee Academy, 21, of Thailand. Also on the card is the rematch between Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, 33, of Italy and “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut, 29, of Thailand for the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix semi-finals.
