Brave Combat Federation, the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion founded by Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has partnered with Colombian MMA promotion Latin Fighter Championship Colombia. Featherweight contender Gabriel “Fly” Miranda, 29, of Brazil praised the partnership between the two promotions.
“I think it’s amazing what LFC and BRAVE CF are doing for South America and Colombia,” Miranda stated. “The Brave Warriors project is exactly the type of initiative this sport needs. I can’t wait to see who comes out of that and fights for BRAVE CF.”
Miranda was one of the highlights of Brave CF’s first-ever show in Colombia, back in September 2018. As the promotion in the world gets ready for a comeback to the country, the Brazilian submission specialist hopes to be once again fighting in Colombia, which he considers his second home.
“Colombia is the place where I made my BRAVE CF debut, so it’s special to me, a great place to be fighting,” Miranda shared. “I was so well-received by the fans there, I felt really appreciated and I want to put on a show there again, same as my first win for BRAVE CF when I was able to submit my opponent in the first round. I’m ready to go and fight in September.”
According to Miranda, Sheik Khalid, Brave CF and LFC are going to change lives with this project just as they changed his life. He is one of the top featherweights on the Bahrain-based MMA promotion’s roster, and with eyes set on a fight with reigning Brave CF Featherweight World Champion Bubba Jenkins, of the United States, who recently beat Miranda’s countryman Lucas “Mineiro” at “Brave 24.”
Brave CF will have a show in Bogotá, Colombia on September 7, 2019 and Miranda wants to repay the support of the Colombian fans on his promotional debut with yet another amazing performance. Besides the event, the promotion is assisting with the discovery of new talents with Brave Warriors, which is being held by the promotion’s partner LFC.
