Julia Barretto took to Instagram on August 27, 2019 to talk about her first love, which is volleyball. She revealed that she fell in love with the sport when she was in high school.
On August 25, 2019, Barretto led a team that competed in a volleyball match against a team led by Kim Chiu in the Star Magic All-Star Games 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The latter won 23-21.
The Star Magic All-Star Games 2019 ended not without controversy. But it has nothing to do with Barretto’s team losing to Chiu’s.
For some reason, Barretto and Gerald Anderson were both wearing jerseys with the number 3. It refreshed the rumors that she caused the breakup between him and Bea Alonzo.
Barretto has already clarified that she had nothing to do with the breakup. She also emphasized that Anderson did not cause her breakup with Joshua Garcia.
In a recent interview with MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN, she reiterated the same things; that she did not cause the breakup between Anderson did not cause her breakup with Garcia and she did not cause the breakup between Alonzo and Anderson.
“Right now, I think I’m in the process of healing and moving forward from everything that happened the past month,” Barretto told Felipe. “Lahat kami nasasaktan. She’s hurting, he’s hurting but so am I.”
“I’m really in so much pain right now but kailangang magpakatatag,” Barretto continued. “We have to get back on our feet and move forward then heal from this. We just have to respect each other’s pain.”
“Everyone’s hurting,” Barretto added. “Hindi madali ‘yung pinagdadaanan naming tatlo.”
