Westlife was in Asia in August 2019. The Irish pop vocal group performed Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China and the United Arab Emirates as part of its members’ reunion tour titled “The Twenty Tour.”
Shane Filan, 40, Markus Feehily, 39, Kian Egan, 39, and Nicky Byrne, 40, performed at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia from August 7-8, 2019. They moved to the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, Malaysia from August 8-9, 2019.
On August 10, 2019, Westlife performed at the Singapore National Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The band took a break for two days and resumed “The Twenty Tour” on August 13, 2019 at the Cadillac Arena in Beijing, China.
Filan, Feehily, Egan and Byrne has another two-day break and resumed on August 16, 2019 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China. Their next stop was at the Stadion Gelora Sriwijaya in Palembang, Indonesia on August 18, 2019.
On August 29, 2019, Westlife performed at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, UAE. The band returned to Indonesia on August 31, 2019 for a concert at the Borobudur Temple in Magelang.
Marking the 13th concert tour of Westlife, “The Twenty Tour” consists of 17 shows in Asia and 34 shows in Europe. It kicked off in Belfast, Northern Ireland on May 22, 2019 and will conclude at Hyde Park in London, England on September 15, 2019.
Joining Filan, Feehily, Egan and Byrne at “The Twenty Tour” are Simon Ellis as the musical director and Brian Burke as the tour director and production designer. Ellis also serves as the keyboardist along with drummer Jonathan “Ginger” Hamilton, bassist Freddie Thompson and guitarist Phil Short.
Virgin EMI Records is set to release Westlife’s 11th studio album titled “Spectrum” on November 8, 2019. On July 5, 2019, “Dynamite” was released as the third single from the album.
