Jon Chris “Happy Feet” Corton, 26, of the Philippines is one of the mixed martial artists competing at “Brave 27.” It will be the third Brave Combat Federation bout of the Filipino fighter, who is training out of Team Lakay in La Trinindad, Benguet, Philippines.

Brave CF will hold “Brave 27” at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 4, 2019. One of the matches is a bantamweight bout between Corton and Zia “The Mashwani Warrior” Mashwani, 23, of Pakistan.

This will not be Corton’s first time to compete in Abu Dhabi. Competing professionally since 2012, the Team Lakay fighter made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 16,” which took place at the Mubadala Arena on September 21, 2018.

At “Brave 16,” Corton competed in the flyweight division against Hussein “Iron” Ayyad, 24, of Bahrain. The Filipino contender won via unanimous decision.

Both Corton and Mashwani are looking forward to have a redemptive win at “Brave 27.” In the Filipino fighter’s most recent bout, which was at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 15, 2019, he lost via ninja choke submission to Abdul “Abba” Hussein, 21, of Finland.

The loss to Hussein downgraded Corton’s professional MMA record to 6 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Mashwani currently has 1 win and 1 loss.

Born on December 16, 1995, Mashwani is training out of Fight Fortress Islamabad in Islamabad, Pakistan. He made his professional MMA debut at “Brave 17” at the Nistar Park Sports Complex in Lahore, Pakistan on October 27, 2018.

Mashwani competed at “Brave 17” in the featherweight division against “The Eagle” Yibugele of Inner Mongolia, China. The Chinese fighter knocked out his Pakistani opponent.

Two rematches have been booked for “Brave 27,” as well. Anas “The Moroccan Sensation” Siraj Mounir, 33, of Morocco and Alex Martinez, 24, of Canada will compete in the lightweight division.

On April 19, 2019, Mounir and Martinez competed at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. It ended in a No Contest due to accidental low kick.

Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan will challenge reigning Brave CF Welterweight World Champion Abdoul “The Conqueror” Abdouraguimov, 23, of France at “Brave 27.” The Jordanian challenger is the former champion in the division.

Al-Selawe lost the Brave CF Welterweight World Championship belt to Abdouraguimov at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor.” The undefeated French-Russian fighter won via split decision.

Meanwhile, here is a throwback to an interview with Corton prior to his most recent Brave CF bout:
