Model Kim Jong Woo, 23, of South Korea was crowned Mister Global 2019 on September 26, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. He bested 37 other candidates from all over the world.
The Mister Global 2019 coronation night was held at the Benjasiri Grand Ballroom, Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, Klongton Khlong Toei in Bangkok. It is the sixth edition of the international male beauty pageant owned and organized by the Mister Global Company Limited.
Kim is the first Mister Global from South Korea. While working as a model, he is pursuing a degree in Police Administration.
The newly crowned Mister Global 2019 hails from Jecheon, a city in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. The city is home to the Uirimji Reservoir, the Cheongpung Lake, the Cheongpung Cultural Properties complex and Semyung University.
A model and a Police Administration student, Kim loves to work out, watch movies, hike and do shopping. He competed in Mister International Korea 2018 on August 27, 2018 and was crowned Mister Global Korea 2019.
Headquartered in Bangkok, Mister Global was founded in 2014. Its first five winners were Myat Thuya Lwin of Myanmar, Nguyễn Văn Sơn of Vietnam, Tomáš Martinka of Czech Republic, Pedro Gicca of Brazil and Dario Duque of the United States.
Runner-up to Kim as Mister Global 2019 was Houssem Saïdi of Tunisia. Jose Luis Rodrigo of Spain, Kenan Murseli of Switzerland and Braulio Encarnación of Dominican Republic were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.
Kenny Guerra of Panama was Best in Swimwear and Thiha Kyaw of Myanmar won the Best National Costume award while Nguyễn Hùng Cường of Vietnam earned the highest online votes to win the Internet Popularity award. The other winners of special awards were Mister Photogenic Chace Cheng of Hong Kong, Mister Congeniality Angelo Amaro of Portugal, Mister Model of Nelson Caceres of Chile and Mister Charming Smile Kiengkai Xouansouandao of Laos.
