South Dakota’s Emmy Rose Cuvelier to compete in Miss World 2019 in London, England

Emmy Rose Cuvelier, 23, will represent the United States in Miss World 2019 in London, England. She is the 68th woman to represent the U.S. in the oldest running international beauty pageant created by the late Eric Morley in the United Kingdom in 1951.

Cuvelier is a performer, business owner and child advocate from Pierre, South Dakota, USA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, USA.

In 2016, Cuvelier played Rapunzel on “Totally TV.” She also played Summer on “Pop Music High” in 2017 and Danielle on “The Super Pops” in 2019.

Aside from performing in musicals, films and television, Cuvelier also dedicates her time in her own children’s entertainment company fairytale-inspired accessory shops The Magic Factory and Royalty and Me. It is her goal to use her talent to held children who are critically ill and financially challenged.

Representing South Dakota, Cuvelier was crowned Miss World America 2019 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on October 12, 2019. She bested 41 other candidates.

Runner-up to Cuvelier as Miss World America 2019 was Megan Gordon of South Carolina. Peyton Brown,18, of North Carolina, Rachel Miller, 25, of Massachusetts and Kayli Obrero, 25, of Hawaii were the respective second, third and fourth runners-up.

Crowning Cuvelier was Miss World America 2018 Marisa Butler. The latter finished in the Top 30 in Miss World 2018, which culminated at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China on December 8, 2018.

On December 14, 2019, Cuvelier will compete against more than 100 candidates from around the world for the Miss World 2019 title at the ExCeL London in London. The successor of Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce, 27, of Mexico will be the 69th woman to hold the title.

If Cuvelier wins Miss World 2019, she will be the fourth titleholder of the international beauty pageant from England. The first three were Marjorie Wallace, Gina Tolleson and Alexandra Mills who were crowned in 1973, in 1990 and in 2010, respectively.
