“The Big Heart” Yoon Chang Min, 25, of Busan, South Korea was one of the winners at “ONE: Century 世紀” in Tokyo, Japan. It was the Korean mixed martial artist’s third victory in ONE Championship.

Featuring MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing matches, “ONE: Century 世紀” had two parts with 11 bouts each both of which took place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on October 12, 2019. In the second bout of the first part, Kwon fought Phoe “Bushido” Thaw, 34, of Yangon, Myanmar in an MMA bout in the featherweight division.

Yoshinori Umeki served as the referee. Yoon brought the action to the ground early and from there was simply masterful.

Yoon he locked Phoe up in a deep rear-naked choke. Umeki put a stop to the featherweight bout when the Burmese contender tapped after 3 minutes and 17 seconds in the first round.

Winning at “ONE: Century 世紀” improved the professional MMA record of Yoon to 3 wins and 1 loss. He represents Team MAD.

The South Korean fighter made his professional MMA debut in 2018 and joined ONE Championship in 2019. The first two opponents he defeated in the organization were Bala “The Tulunad Warrior” Shetty, 36, of Mumbai, India and Trestle “Jun Minion” Tan, 34, of Cebu City, Philippines

On the other hand, Phoe now has 8 wins and 2 losses. He represents Team PT and Fight for Good.

 

“ONE: Century 世紀” was the second ONE Championship event held in Japan. It marked the martial arts organization’s 100th live event.

Including Myanmar and South Korea, a total of 18 countries were represented in the two parts of “ONE: Century 世紀.” The others were Algeria, Belarus, Brazil, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and the United States.
