Karen Ibasco represented the Philippines at Miss Earth 2018 and competed against 86 other candidates at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 3, 2018. She won the title.
Also crowned were Miss Earth-Air 2018 Melanie Mader of Austria, Miss Earth-Water 2018 Valeria Ayos of Colombia and Miss Earth-Fire 2018 Melissa Flores of Mexico. Finishing in the Top 8 were Sofia Pavan of Italy, Celeste Cortesi of the Philippines, Telma Madeira of Portugal and Diana Silva of Venezuela.

On October 26, 2019, Ibasco will crown her successor at the Okada Manila in Parañaque, Metro Manila. It is the 19th edition of the international beauty pageant based in the Philippines.
