Marjorie Barretto mocked Claudine Barretto’s anxiety disorder?

Claudine Barretto, 40, did have an anxiety disorder, she admitted in a recent interview. What is more unfortunate than that is, as she claimed, her sister Marjorie Barretto, 45, made fun on her mental health during the wake of their late father Miguel Alvir Barretto, who passed away on October 15, 2019.

In an interview with DZMM on October 23, 2019, Claudine said she and her sister Gretchen Barretto, 49, had invited a reporter to the wake on October 16, 2019. This irritated Marjorie, who subsequently tried to provoke Claudine by making fun of her anxiety disorder, according to the latter.

The underlying causes of anxiety disorder have yet to be specified. But recently, the University of Utah research assistant professor Dimitri Traenkner told Medical Xpress that more women than men experience debilitating anxiety and it is linked to a dysfunction in a type of microglia and to female sex hormones.

Years before the death of Miguel, Claudine mourned the loss of her then boyfriend Rico Yan. Born on March 14, 1975 died on March 29, 2002 due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis at the age of 27.

During the incident at the wake, Claudine was seated next to Tina Yan, Rico’s sister. In response to Marjorie’s taunts, Claudine said she just tried to laugh it off.

“So napikon na siya kasi pinagtatawanan na lang namin (she was annoyed because we were just laughing it off),” Claudine said of Marjorie. Tapos nakaupo ako noon and sabi niya, ‘Ano? Lalaban ka? Lalaban ka?’ So tumayo ako. Sabi ko, ‘Oo, lalaban ako.’ (I was seated at that time and she asked, ‘What? Will you fight back? Will you fight back?’ So I stood up. I said, ‘Yes, I will fight back.’)”

Dinuro niya ako sa ulo (She pointed at my head),Claudine said of Marjorie. Ayon na. Sinampal ko siya talaga (That was it. I really slapped her).”

Claudine is still badly devastated by the death of her father. Meanwhile, here is a clip she posted showing Gretchen who recently reconciled with their mother:
