'Fight Day 2019'

The World Kickboxing Network will return to Belgium on October 26, 2019 with “Fight Day 2019.” Presented by Team Fighting La Marca, the combat sports event features a series of kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts with two WKN titles contested in the headliner of the show.

“Fight Day 2019” will be held at Hall Omnisport in Trazegnies, Courcelles, Belgium. In the main event, reigning WKN European Super Featherweight Amateur Muay Thai champion Ougo Huet, 20, of Belgium will take on Giacomo Stocchino, 29, of Italy.

Huet and Stocchino will battle it out for WKN European Featherweight title in Muay Thai. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.

Ougo Huet

Huet earned the WKN European Super Featherweight Amateur Muay Thai title earlier in his career. He claimed the belt by technical knockout in the second round against Said Moufek of France at the latest edition of “Simply the Best,” produced in Farciennes, Belgium on November 25, 2018.

On December 1, 2018, Huet came out victorious by unanimous decision against Letchi Gadaev of France at “Ultimate Muaythai / K1 Rules” in Strasbourg, France. They competed in a three-round Muay Thai contest at a catch weight of 61kg.

Giacomo Stocchino

Among the opponents Stocchino defeat were Andrea Valeriano of Modugno, Italy, Giang Hoang of Stockholm, Sweden and Francesco Sotgiu of Ploaghe, Italy. Stocchino has also faced several high-caliber kickboxers such as Federico Mazza and Nicola Canu, among others.

Stocchino was born on March 22, 1990. He is currently based in Quartu Sant’Elena, Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy.

“Fight Day 2019”

In the co-main event of “Fight Day 2019,” Cody Faidherbe of Belgium will take on Mounir Mrah of France. They will compete in a four-round contest for the WKN European Super Lightweight Amateur Kickboxing belt.

The undercard of “Fight Day 2019” will see a series of bouts with local and international competitors. The event follows “PSM Fight Night” produced on April 22, 2019 in Brussels, Belgium where famed brothers Youssef Boughanem and Yassine Boughanem earned the WKN World Super Welterweight and Super Heavyweight titles in Muay Thai, respectively.

Aside from “Fight Day 2019,” the WKN has another event on October 26, 2019. Johnny “Swift” Smith of Northern Ireland will defend his WKN Intercontinental Welterweight title from Shuhei Sone of Japan at “PROKICK Lord of the Ring” in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
