Former ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, 34, of the Philippines is one of the three Team Lakay warriors competing at “ONE: Masters of Fate.” The Igorot mixed martial arts veteran’s opponent is MGL-1 FC Lightweight Champion Amarsanaa “Spear” Tsogookhuu, 29, of Mongolia.
Folayang and Tsogookhuu were among the eight “ONE: Masters of Fate” fighters who participated in the official open workout at the Elorde Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 5, 2019. During the event, which was hosted by Mitch “The Dragon” Chilson, the Team Lakay fighter said, “I am glad to be back competing again.”
“I know my back is against the wall right now,” Folayang continued. “This year hasn’t exactly gone to plan but I’ve been working hard. I know victory is important this time.”
“I’m facing a hungry opponent from Mongolia who will be looking to beat a big name,” Folayang continued. “I’ve been in this situation before and I know what I need to do. I’m a veteran of this sport and I’ve been doing this for a long time.”
“Still, I feel confident in making another run at the ONE Lightweight World Title,” the Team Lakay fighter continued. “My journey starts anew at home in Manila.”
Featuring 10 MMA matches and three Muay Thai contests, ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Masters of Fate” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 8, 2019.
