The World Kickboxing Network will return to Belgium for the third time in 2019. The next edition of the annual “La Nuit des Titans” combat sports event will take place at the Hall Omnisport in Farciennes, Belgium on November 24, 2019.
Presented by Osman “The Legend” Yigin, “La Nuit des Titans” features a series of Muay Thai and Kickboxing bouts with two WKN titles. In the main event, Gaetano “El Tigre” Pirrello of Belgium will square off against Ahmed Alikada of France.
Hailing from La Louviere, Hainaut, Belgium and training out of Osman Gym, Pirrello will compete for the WKN European Super Featherweight title against Alikada. The pair of Muay Thai fighters is going head to head in a five-round contest.
Pirrello has held amateur world and European titles in super featherweight and welterweight divisions, respectively. “La Nuit des Titans” will see the representative of Osman Gym contesting for European gold in the professional class.
Alikada holds a professional Muay Thai record of 15 wins and 4 losses. Training out of Team Nas-R K from Saint-Fons in Lyon, France, the French fighter replaced his teammate Tristan Caetano and is looking to claim a prestigious WKN European belt on the rival territory.
In the co-main event of “La Nuit des Titans,” Soufiane Ait Ouccime of Belgium will battle it out against Umar Abubakar of Ghana. The winner of a three-round kickboxing encounter will come out as the WKN International Super Welterweight champion.
Among the opponents Ouccime defeated over the course of his career are Conan Saelens, Omar Samb and Eddy Sadaoui. The Belgian fighter also held the ISKA 160-pound European title and challenged for 154-pound world belt but dropped the decision against Sergio Sanchez.
On the other hand, Abubakar was victorious over Daniel Cachucha. The Ghanaian fighter also went up against the likes of Toni Romero and Cherif Younes.
Also on the “La Nuit des Titans”card is newly crowned WKN European Featherweight Champion Ougo Huet of Belgium. He will fight Fabien Bernard of France in a three-round 59kg catchweight Muay Thai bout.
While “La Nuit des Titans” is taking place in Farciennes, “Estrellas de Acero 5” will also be held back to back on November 24, 2019 in Ireno Portela, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The latter continues the WKN Argentinian series of rating tournaments.
