The World Kickboxing Network made its third visit to Belgium in 2019 with the annual “La Nuit des Titans” event held at Hall Omnisports in Farciennes, Belgium on November 24, 2019. The event presented by “The Legend” Osman Yigin featured a series of Muay Thai and Kickboxing bouts with two WKN titles contested on the night.

In the main event, Gaetano “El Tigre” Pirrello of Belgium and Ahmed Alikada of France battled it out for WKN European Super Featherweight title in Muay Thai. The championship bout went a full five-round distance and ended in favor of the representative of the host country.

Pirrello claimed the win by unanimous decision and added a new prestigious belt to his collection. Earlier in his career, the competitor out of Osman Gym held amateur world and European titles.

The second WKN title bout saw Soufiane Ait Ouccime of Belgium squaring off against Umar Abubakar of Ghana. After three rounds of international contest the Belgian kickboxer came out victorious by unanimous decision.

Also on the night, Salvatore Scaletta of Belgium defeated his countryman Mohammed Kloua and earned national strap in the featherweight class. The former also took the revenge for the defeat he suffered at “Simply the Best 17” two years ago.

In addition, newly crowned WKN European Featherweight Champion Ougo Huet of Belgium was also in action, scoring the win by technical knockout against Fabien Bernard of France in the first round of their 59kg-catchweight Muay Thai bout. The undercard featured a series of amateur bouts in kickboxing and Muay Thai.

While “La Nuit des Titans 2019” was taking place in Farciennes, “Estrellas de Acero 5” was held simultaneously in Ireneo Portela, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The latter saw over 150 bouts contested in terms of WKN Argentinian series of rating tournaments.
