Ida Tan-Schneider was the grand champion of the first ever Tecnogas Kitchen Superstar. With her creamy smoked salinas pasta creation, she won the Tecnogas Philippines cooking competition, which tasked the contestants with creating an Italian pasta dish with a Filipino twist.
Tecnogas Philippines hosted the live cook-off with the objective of promoting culinary excellence in the Philippines. Being the first of its kind for the Italian brand, it served as an exciting platform for food enthusiasts with no professional culinary experience to showcase their skills and love for cooking.
The event saw the attendees enjoying good food and winning exciting raffle prizes, aside from witnessing the main competition. Tecnogas Philippines sales manager JP Rahnema stated, “For more than 65 years, Tecnogas has always been passionate in creating cooking appliances designed to deliver best results and through this event, we want to encourage and promote culinary excellence even more by letting them use the right equipment.”
Chef Charmaine Fider of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Marlon Aldenese of Cook Magazine and Marilou Acuña of Flyace Corporation served as the Tecnogas Kitchen Superstar judges. Mariane Camba and Rholielyn Garcia were the second and third placers, respectively.
As the first ever Tecnogas Kitchen Superstar grand champion, Tan-Schnieder got to take home a 20,000-peso cash prize. She also received over 100,000-peso worth of gift packs including a kitchen showcase from Tecnogas.
