Chad “Superman” Hanekom, 27, of Sunninghill, South Africa and Daniel “Gaúcho” Pereira, 28, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil will compete for the  inaugural BRAVE CF Middleweight World Championship title at “BRAVE CF 31.” The champion has yet to be crowned but there is already a challenger in the wait.

Phil “Zilla” Hawes, 30, of Little Ferry, New Jersey, United States has impressed in his BRAVE CF debut. He quickly submitted Dominic “Painless” Schober, 28, of Vienna, Upper Austria, Austria at “BRAVE CF 30” on November 23, 2019 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Hawes is now positioning himself for a title shot. He is eager to find out who will win in the bout between Hanekom and Gaucho in the main event of “BRAVE CF 31,” which takes place on December 7, 2019 at the Sibaya Casino in Durban, South Africa.

“I mean, I said it before the win,” Hawes said. “Sign me up for a title bout. I’m not here to play games.”

“I’m here to win the belt,” Hawes continued. “That’s why I signed for BRAVE CF. I want whoever wins in South Africa for my next bout.”

At “BRAVE CF 30,” Hawes’ win came in the first round as he used his wrestling to stifle Schober’s striking. The American mixed martial artist wore his Austrian opponent down with ground and pound, before transitioning to the back of the latter and sink in a rear-naked choke for the win.

“I mean, I’m not here to do whatever,” Hawes said before the “BRAVE CF 30″ fight night. “I came to BRAVE CF to be a world champion like I always felt I am. I’m only focused on Saturday but I’m going to knock this guy out and will call out whoever will be the champion.”

“Chad, Daniel, it doesn’t matter,” Hawes continued. “I’m coming for that belt and no one can stop me.”

“BRAVE CF 30” marked the third time BRAVE CF is holding an event in India. In the main event of the evening, BRAVE CF Bantamweight World Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines successfully defended his belt from Louie “Leonidas” Sanoudakis, 30, of Canada.
