Mixed martial artist British Boloyoang will face his fellow South African Matt Raynard at “BRAVE CF 31.” The latter replaced by his countryman Eliezer Kubanza, who was forced to pull out of the bout due to undisclosed reasons.
BRAVE Combat Federation will hold “BRAVE CF 31” at the Sibaya Casino in Durban, South Africa on December 7, 2019. The first bout of the evening is a welterweight bout between Boloyoang and Raynard, who are both making their debuts in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion.
Raynard will make his professional MMA debut at “BRAVE CF 31.” He currently has 8 wins and 0 loss as an amateur fighter.
On the other hand, Boloyoang currently has 5 wins and 1 loss as a professional MMA fighter. “BRAVE CF 31” marks the first time he is competing in an international event.
Four out of Boloyoang’s five victories have come by stoppage and he will look to bounce back from his lone loss against one of South Africa’s brightest prospects. Before joining BRAVE CF, he competed in MFC South Africa, Fight Factory and Fightstar.
Even though Raynard is a short-notice replacement making his professional debut, he comes in with the experience of a perfect amateur career. He also has the MFC amateur title under his belt.
“BRAVE CF 31” is BRAVE Combat Federation’s second event in South Africa. In the main event, Chad Hanekom of South Africa will compete for the inaugural BRAVE CF Middleweight World Championship title against Daniel Pereira of Brazil, marking the first ever MMA world title bout in Africa.
In the co-main event, Dansheel Moodley of South Africa will look to build on from his recent win in Romania against Jon Chris Corton of the Philippines. They will compete in the flyweight division.
Including Boloyoang, Raynard, Hanekom and Moodley, “BRAVE CF 31” features nine South African mixed martial artists. The others are Mzwandile Hlongwa, Jeremy Smith, Nkosi Ndebele, Dimitri Fogg and Jason Culverwell.
