Paweensuda Drouin, 26, of Bangkok, Thailand was one of the finalists in Miss Universe 2019. She finished in the Top 5 of the 68th edition of the international beauty pageant.

The Miss Universe 2019 coronation ceremony was held at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on December 8, 2019. It was hosted by Steve Harvey with Olivia Culpo and Vanessa Lachey as the backstage presenters.
Including Drouin, 90 candidates competed for the crown, which was won by Zozibini Tunzi, 26, of South Africa. The winner’s crown was made by luxury jeweler Mouawad.
Runner-up to Tunzi was Madison Anderson, 24, Puerto Rico while Sofía Aragón, 25, Mexico was second runner-up. Gabriela Tafur, 24, Colombia also finished in the Top 5.
“Government surveillance is used to keep many nations and their people safe but some believe this invades our right to privacy,” Harvey told Drouin in the Top 5 question and answer portion. “What is more important to you, privacy or security?”
“I believe that every country has their own government policy to keep us safe and I believe that it shouldn’t cross a line of going into our privacy because we have a right to privacy,” Drouin answered. “But security is also very important so I believe that in order to live in a better society, we should also have the government look into a line, a middle ground as to where they can come and live together with society.”
Four out of the seven members of the all-female jury are from the United States. They were William Morris Endeavor chief marketing officer Bozoma Saint John, 42, Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart, 38, blogger Sazan Hendrix, 30, and Miss America 2018 Cara Mund, 26.
Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori, 32, of Japan was the only Asian member of the jury. Actress Gaby Espino, 43, of Venezuela and Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega, 26, of Colombia also served as judges.
Drouin was born in Bangkok. On October 12, 2019, she turned 26.
