Catriona Gray is the fourth Miss Universe from the Philippines. She was born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia to a Scottish-Australian father and a Filipino mother.
On December 17, 2018, Gray represented the Philippines at Miss Universe 2018, competed against 93 other candidates at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand and won the title. On January 6, 2019, she turned 25.
On December 8, 2019, Gray crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The latter is the third Miss Universe from South Africa.

Tunzi was born in Tsolo, Eastern Cape, South Africa. She studied public relations management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
On August 9, 2019, Tunzi competed against 15 other Miss South Africa 2019 candidates at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa and won the title. On September 18, 2019, she turned 26.
