
Geoff “Handz of Steel” Neal, 29, has earned his fifth consecutive victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Fighting out of Harker Heights, Texas, United States, he was one of the winners at “UFC 245.”
Featuring 13 MMA fights, the UFC held “UFC 245” at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 14, 2019. In the eighth bout of the evening, Neal competed in the welterweight division against Mike “Platinum” Perry, 28, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, USA.
Chris Tognoni served as the referee of the welterweight bout. He put a stop to the contest after 1 minute and 30 seconds in the first round when Neal knocked out Perry via punches.
“It feels great to get out of there quickly with a guy like Perry,” Neal said in his post-fight interview. “I was ready for war, if I die, I die, you know? That was my mindset because that’s his mindset so I have to match that.”
Winning at “UFC 245” improved Neal’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 2 losses. On the other hand, Perry now has 13 wins and 6 losses.
Born in Austin, Texas on August 28, 1990, Neal is training out of Fortis MMA in Dallas, Texas. The Texan MMA fighter has been competing professionally since 2012.
On July 25, 2017, Neal fought Chase Waldon, 33, of River Falls, Wisconsin, USA in “Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series” Season 1 episode 3 at the UFC Training Center in Las Vegas. The Texan contender knocked out his opponent via punches.
In 2018, Neal defeated two opponents in the UFC namely Brian “The Mantis” Camozzi, 28, of Parker, Colorado, USA and Frank “The Crank” Camacho, 30, of Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. In 2019, the Fortis MMA representative defeated three opponents namely Belal “Remember the Name” Muhammad, 31, of Chicago, Illinois, USA, Niko “The Hybrid” Price, 30, of Cape Coral, Florida and Perry.
