Fighting out of Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang, South Korea, Chan Sung “The Korean Zombie” Jung, 32, has earned his sixth victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He was one of the winners at “UFC Fight Night 165,” also called “UFC on ESPN+ 23.”

Featuring 13 mixed martial arts matches, the UFC held “UFC Fight Night 165” at the Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea on December 21, 2019. In the main event of the evening, Jung competed in the featherweight division against Frankie “The Answer” Edgar, 38, of Toms River, New Jersey, United States.

Marc Goddard served as the referee. He put a stop to the featherweight contest after 3 minutes and 18 seconds in the first round when Jung knocked out Edgar via punches.

“I am really happy,” Jung said in his post-fight interview. “This is my present just in time for Christmas.”

“I wanted to fight Edgar for 25 minutes,” the Korean MMA fighter continued. “This part I regret but I guess it’s relieving. I’ve been travelling back and forth for 10 weeks. I deserved this win.”

Losing to Jung at “UFC Fight Night 165” downgraded the professional MMA record of Edgar to 23 wins, 8 losses and 1 draw. It was his eighth loss in the UFC.

On the other hand, Jung now has 16 wins and 5 losses. He is now riding a two-bout winning streak.
