Bb. Pilipinas loses Philippines’ Miss Universe, Miss Intercontinental franchises

Binibining Pilipinas crowned six queens from 2016 to 2018. But it will crown only four queens in 2020 namely the representatives of the Philippines in Miss International 2020, Miss Supranational 2020, Miss Grand International 2020 and Miss Globe 2020.

Previously, Bb. Pilipinas also crowned the Philippines’ representatives in Miss Universe and Miss Intercontinental. However, the former is now under a new beauty pageant called Miss Universe Philippines while the latter is now under Mutya ng Pilipinas.

The four queens who will pass their respective crowns in Bb. Pilipinas 2020 are Bb. Pilipinas-International 2019 Bea Patricia Magtanong, Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational Resham Saeed, Bb. Pilipinas-Globe 2019 Leren Mae Bautista and Bb. Pilipinas-Grand International 2019 Aya Abesamis.

Magtanong finished in the Top 8 in Miss International 2019 in Japan while Saeed finished in the Top 25 in Miss Supranational 2019 in Poland. Bautista was crowned Miss Globe 2019 second runner-up in Montenegro.

Former Bb. Pilipinas-Grand International 2019 Samantha Lo did not place in Miss Grand International 2019 in Venezuela. She resigned and was replaced by Abesamis, who was Bb. Pilipinas 2019 first runner-up.

Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2019 Gazini Ganados finished in the Top 25 in Miss Universe 2019 in the United States. She will crown her successor in Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2019 Emma Tiglao finished in the Top 20 in Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Egypt. She will crown her successor in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2020.
