Cordelia Cranshaw was unplaced at Miss District of Columbia USA 2016. She was fourth runner-up both to Miss District of Columbia USA 2017 Kara McCullough and Miss District of Columbia USA 2018 Bryce Armstrong.
On December 8, 2018, Cranshaw competed against 15 other Miss District of Columbia USA 2019 candidates at the Theatre of the Arts of the University of the District of Columbia in Northwest, Washington, D.C., United States. She won the title.
Runner-up to Cranshaw was Destani Huffman-Jefferson. The respective second, third and fourth runners-up were Samantha Joy Fay, Cierra Jackson and Bilikisu Adeyemi.
Miss District of Columbia USA 2020
On January 19, 2020, Cranshaw will crown her successor at the Carpenter Theater in Richmond, Virginia, USA. It is the 65th edition of the beauty pageant that selects Washington, D.C.’s candidate for Miss USA, which selects the Miss Universe candidate of the U.S.

On May 2, 2019, Cranshaw represented Washington, D.C. at Miss USA 2019 and competed against 50 other candidates at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, USA. She finished in the Top 10.
Cranshaw graduated from West Potomac High School in the Belle Haven, Virginia in 2010. She graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in social work and the University of Maryland Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 2015 with a master’s degree in social work.
