Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett, 25, of Liverpool, Merseyside, England was one of the winners at “Cage Warriors 113,” also known as “CW 113.” It was the Engish mixed martial artist’s 10th victory in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship.

While many MMA promotions either cancelled or postponed events amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Cage Warriors went ahead and held “CW 113” at the Manchester BEC Arena in Manchester, England on March 20, 2020 featuring 11 MMA fights. In the eighth bout of the evening, Pimblett competed in the lightweight division against Decky “The Diamond” Dalton, 24, of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Rich Mitchell served as the referee. He put a stop to the lightweight contest after 2 minutes and 51 seconds in the first round.

Pimblett knocked out Dalton via punches. It marked the third time the Liverpool native won in Cage Warriors via technical knockout.

Losing to Pimblett downgraded the professional MMA record of Dalton to 11 wins and 5 losses. The Northern Irish MMA fighter made his Cage Warriors debut at “CW 113.”

On the other hand, Pimblett now has 15 wins and 3 losses. Aside from Cage Warriors, he also previously competed in Olympian MMA Championships, Cage Contender and Full Contact Contender.

Competing professionally since 2012, Pimblett joined Cage Warriors in 2013. The first nine opponents he defeated in the London-based MMA promotion were Florian Calin, Martin Sheridan, Conrad Hayes, Stephen Martin, Ashleigh Grimshaw, Teddy Violet, Johnny Frachey, Julian Erosa and Alexis Savvidis.

Including England and Northern Ireland, seven countries were represented at “CW 113.” The others were France, Ireland, Poland, Scotland and Wales.

Pimblett was one of the 14 hometown fighters. Dalton was one of the two representatives of Northern Ireland.
