ONE Championship traditionally hold four events in the Philippines every year, which are in the months of January, April, July and November. The location is always at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Titled “ONE: Fire and Fury,” the first ONE Championship event in the Philippines in 2020 took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 31, 2020. The next ones are “ONE Infinity 1” and “ONE Infinity 2,” which will both take place in the same venue on May 29, 2020.

Recently, ONE Championship announced the cancellation of three events namely “ONE: Hope,” “ONE: Strength and “ONE: Dreams” due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. These were supposed to be closed-door events to be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on April 17, 2020, on April 24, 2020 and on May 1, 2020, respectively.

Even before COVID-19 became a pandemic, ONE Championship announced big fights for “ONE Infinity 1” and “ONE Infinity 2.” Here are the lists:

“ONE Infinity 1”

  • ONE Flyweight World Championship: Adriano “Mikinho” Morares (Brazil) vs Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (United States)
  • ONE Middleweight World Championship: “The Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang (Myanmar) vs Vitaly Bigdash (Russia)
  • ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship: Roman Kryklia (Ukraine) vs Andrei “Mister KO” Stoica (Romania)

“ONE Infinity 2”

  • ONE Heavyweight World Championship: Brandon “The Truth” Vera (Philippines) vs Arjan “Singh” Bhullar (India)
  • ONE Lightweight World Championship: Christian “The Warrior” Lee (Singapore) vs Iuri Lapicus (Moldova)
  • lightweight: Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez (United States) vs Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev (Turkey)

If the situation in the Philippines improves in May 2020 and ONE Championship is allowed to hold “ONE Infinity 1” and “ONE Infinity 2” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the Singapore-based martial arts promotion still has to decide whether or not to make them closed-door events. Either way, here are five bouts that I wish to see on the fight cards aside from the previously announced ones:
