Carousell to donate $1.4 million worth of ad inventory to support non-profit organizations in Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore

Carousell, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing classifieds, is stepping up to help in the fight against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) by announcing the launch of COVID-19 Free Ads for Charity. This initiative will offer up to US$1.4 million in an advertising support program for non-profit organisations helping the communities impacted by COVID-19.

This $1.4 million fund will focus on supporting any non-profit organizations in the Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore. This will support their efforts to replenish supply of food and essential health products, donations for upkeep cost, call for volunteers and other initiatives caring for families-at-risk and seniors in need.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is greatly impacting the lives of many in the region including the Philippines,” Carousell Philippines general manager Raffy Montemayor stated. “We want to support Caritas Manila, a non-profit organisation that is playing a key role during the crisis, through access to our platform and users to get greater visibility and a larger reach. We know that Caritas Manila will be able to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters in this time of great need while we all collectively do our part to help flatten the curve.”

Father Anton CT Pascual is the current executive director of Caritas Manila. He said, “We want to thank Carousell for raising awareness for Caritas Manila so that we are able to receive resources to help alleviate the hunger of the less fortunate during this health and social pandemic.”

The initiative will launch with existing partnerships including Caritas Manila in the Philippines, Parents Without Partners Berhad in Malaysia, Singapore Red Cross in Singapore and Habitat For Humanity in Hong Kong. Interested non-profit organisations can simply apply via

Apart from supporting non-profit organisations, Carousell has committed to additional resources that will empower small and medium businesses and local entrepreneurs during this COVID-19 crisis.
