The Federative Republic of Brazil is the world’s fifth largest country by area and the largest country to have Portuguese as an official language. It is a founding member of the United Nations.

The South American country has 21 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Sites including the Central Amazon Conservation Complex, the Discovery Coast Atlantic Forest Reserves, the Historic Centre of Salvador de Bahia, the Iguaçu National Park and the Pampulha Modern Ensemble.
