The mixed martial arts world is dominated by the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the West and ONE Championship in the East. Having a cross-promotional event featuring fighters from these two promotions is one of the ultimate dreams of many MMA fans.
Having such an arrangement between UFC president Dana White and ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong seems impossible but that does not stop MMA fans like me from wishing for it. If I had the power to make this happen, I would pair some of the reigning champions and undefeated fighters from the two promotions.
At this point, due to the ongoing new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, ONE Championship postponed its three events originally scheduled in May 2020 while the UFC is set to hold three events this month. Meanwhile, here is a fantasy card I made featuring UFC fighters in the red corner and ONE Championship athletes in the blue corner:
