The K-Pop industry does not stop entertaining music lovers from all over the world while almost all countries are battling against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. SM Entertainment announced that Raiden, 33, and “Chanyeol” Park Chan Yeol, 27, are releasing a collaboration song titled “Yours.”

Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the entertainment industry in general froze as many concerts and music events were either cancelled or postponed. This makes “Yours,” which is a love song, a breath of fresh air especially for K-Pop fans.

As of May 12, 2020, there have been 4,178,156 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the world while 1,456,493 people have recovered from the virus and 286,353 have died from it. South Korea listed 10,936 confirmed cases, 9,670 recoveries and 258 deaths.

“If there was one thing I wish for this song to do, (it) is to spread the feeling of warmth and positivity around the world,” Raiden said in a statement obtained by Forbes. “During this crazy time of confusion and isolation, I wanted to present the feeling of love and care for each other and we really poured our hearts out with that message here.”

“Yours” marks the fourth collaboration song of Chanyeol, who is a member of the K-Pop group EXO, as a main artist. The first three were “If We Love Again” with Chen in 2016, “Let Me Love You” with Junggigo in 2017 and “We Young” with Sehun in 2018.

Chanyeol also has several collaboration songs as a featured artist. He was featured in “Bad Girl” by Henry and “Rewind” by Zhou Mi in 2014, “Don’t Make Money” by Heize in 2015 and “Confession” by Yesung and “Freal Luv” by Far East Movement and Marshmello in 2016.

Also featured in “Yours” are rapper “Changmo” Ku Chang Mo, 25, and singer-songwriter Lee Ha Yi, 23, who is professionally known as Lee Hi. With a disco vibe, the song is an R&B track enhanced with a retro synth sound and funky guitar accompaniment.

On May 12, 2020, “Yours” was released at various music sites such as Flo, Melon, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Sporty Pie, QQ music, KuGou music and Kuwo music. The official music video was released on the same day.

At one point in the music, Raiden plays an electric guitar while Chanyeol sings along. Watch it here:
