Brazil’s Amanda Nunes keeps UFC Women’s Featherweight belt, beats Felicia Spencer at ‘UFC 250’

Amanda “Lioness” Nunes, 32, of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil is still the champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s women’s featherweight division. The Brazilian mixed martial artist successfully defended her belt at “UFC 250.”

Featuring 12 MMA matches, “UFC 250” took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on June 6, 2020. In main event of the evening, Felicia “FeeNom” Spencer, 29, of Winter Park, Florida, USA challenged the reigning UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion.

 

After five five-minute rounds, the championship bout was left in the hands of the judges, who scored it 50-44, 50-44 and 50-45. In the end, referee Herb Dean raised the hand of Nunes, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “UFC 250” improved the professional MMA record of Nunes to 20 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Spencer now has 8 wins and 2 losses.
