Todd Stoute, Issa Isakov sign new BRAVE CF contracts

BRAVE Combat Federation continues to tie up its stars to new contracts after confirming its return after the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pause. The latest athletes to sign an extension with the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion are Todd “The Black Hulk” Stoute, 36, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Issa Isakov, 30, of Athus, Belgium.

“I just signed a five-fight deal with BRAVE CF,” Stoute announced. “I’m ready to knock out some light heavyweights. A special thanks to His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa for having me back and for putting on such an amazing show.”

“I love BRAVE CF,” Stoute continued. “I’ve been doing this for 10 years now and I’ve never been a part of anything like BRAVE CF before.”

“(I have) never been a part of a show like this,” the Canadian-Trinidadian athlete added. “You, guys, have taken care of me and given me opportunities.”

Like Stoute, Isakov is coming out of a loss. The Belgian MMA fighter made his professional MMA debut in 2019 and defeated five opponents in just one year.

Currently, Stoute has 1 win and 1 loss in BRAVE CF. In the promotional debut of the Canadian MMA fighter of Trinidadian descent at “BRAVE CF 30” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, India on November 23, 2019, he knocked out Lukasz Parobiec, 30, of Poland and England.

On December 27, 2019, Stoute faced Mohamed Said Maalem, 37, of Geneva, Switzerland at “BRAVE CF 33” at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudia Arabia. The Swiss contender won via unanimous decision.

Isakov made his BRAVE CF debut at “BRAVE CF 33.” He submitted Rami Hamed, 29, of Beirut, Lebanon via armbar.

On January 18, 2020, Isakov had his first professional MMA loss. He was knocked out by Levan Chokheli, 23, of Tbilisi, Georgia at “We Love MMA 52” at CASTELLO Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Having signed with BRAVE CF again, Isakov will now have new opportunities to develop himself as he looks to make a mark in both welterweight and super lightweight. He now has 5 wins and 1 loss.
