Janella Salvador on Raffy Tulfo show complaint: I don’t have to defend myself

Janella Salvador was featured in the live episode of Raffy Tulfo‘s show “Wanted sa Radyo” on July 7, 2020. The host interviewed the actress’s former personal assistant Michelle Pelongco.

According to Pelongco, Salvador fired her on June 12, 2020 and did not pay 12 days of work, which is worth around 3,600 pesos. The personal assistant revealed that the monthly salary she was receiving from the actress was 8,000 pesos.

Salvador’s handler Gidget Dela Cuesta told Tulfo that they will respond to the complain. However, neither the actress nor her handler answered the “Wanted sa Radyo” staff’s calls.

According to “Wanted sa Radyo” staff Carol Domingo, she was able to talk to Salvador. Domingo said the actress did confirm that Pelongco is indeed her former personal assistant and added that Dela Cuesta would speak on her behalf.

On July 8, 2020, Salvador took to Twitter to respond to Pelongco’s accusations. The actress explained why it was not necessary for her to defend herself and accused her former personal assistant of lying.


Born in Cebu City, Philippines on March 30, 1998, Salvador is the daughter of songwriter Juan Miguel Salvador and singer and actress Jenine Desiderio. Janella grew up in San Juan City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Janella made her television debut by playing Nikki Grace Lim in the ABS-CBN series “Be Careful With My Heart” from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, she appeared in the shows “Goin’ Bulilit,” “ASAP,” “Maalala Mo Kaya” and “Home Sweetie Home.”

In 2015, Janella played the lead character Sophie Z. Cepeda in “Oh My G!” In 2016, she played Denise Paulino in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano” and starred in “Born for You” opposite Elmo Magalona.

In 2019, Janella played Moira Dela Torre in the “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode “White Ribbon.” From 2019 to 2020, she starred in “The Killer Bride” along with Joshua Garcia, Geoff Eigenmann and Maja Salvador.

Janella also played big roles on the big screen. From 2015 to 2019, she starred in five movies namely “Haunted Mansion,” “Mano Po 7: Tsinoy,” “Bloody Crayons,” “My Fairy Tail Love Story,” “So Connected” and “The Heiress.”
