Jake Wiatrak biography: 13 things about George Floyd reenactor from Hanover, Pennsylvania

Jacon “Jake” D. Wiatrak is from Hanover, Pennsylvania, United States. On August 7, 2020, he his fellow Hanover resident Jay Randolph McDougle attended a Black Lives Matter protest on Hanover Square as counter-protesters.

Both Wiatrak and McDougle do not believe that George Floyd died in the hands of former Minneapolis Police Department officers  Derek Michael Chauvin, Tou Nmn Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Kiernan Lane. To prove their point, McDougle knelt on the neck of Wiatrak, who was lying face down on the ground, in front of the protesters.

“I apologize if anything we did was taken the wrong way,” McDougle told The York Dispatch. “It wasn’t about race.”

Wiatrak did not immediately comment about the incident. Here are 13 more facts about him:
