The demonstrators planned to remain there for 8 minutes and 42 seconds, representing how long former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on George Floyd’s neck.
  8. While inside his truck, he threw out a smoke grenade at the protesters. Some of the protesters run away while others attacked his truck, prompting him to exit and point a gun at them, Fox 28 Savannah reported.
  9. He was soon located nearby. He was arrested and booked in the Chatham County Jail in Savannah.
  10. He was charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct.
  11. On October 5, 2020, he made his first appearance in records court in Savanah.
  12. He did not receive bond.
  13. His case is being held over to the Chatham County Superior Court in Savannah.
