Shudufhadzo Musida, 24, of Ha-Masia, Limpopo, South Africa is Miss South Africa 2020. She is a model and is currently completing her Honors degree in International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
Hosted by Nomazamo Mbatha, the Miss South Africa 2020 coronation night took place in The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa. Musida and her nine fellow finalists were judged by radio jockey Anele Mdoda, actresses Leandie du Randt and Kim Engelbrecht, Miss South Africa 1996 Peggy-Sue Khumalo and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi.
After winning Miss Universe 2019 on December 8, 2019, Tunzi past her Miss South Africa 2019 title to her runner-up Sasha-Lee Olivier. It was Olivier who crowned Musida.
As Miss South Africa 2020, Musida won R1-million in cash, R2-million worth of sponsorships and prizes the use of a luxury Sandton apartment and a Mercedes-Benz C200 Cabriolet for one year. She will represent South Africa in Miss World 2021.
Thato Mosehle, 25, Stilfontein, North West and Natasha Joubert, 22, Centurion, Gauteng were the respective first and second runners-up. They will represent South Africa in Miss Supranational 2021 and Miss Universe 2020.
Born in Ha-Masia on July 18, 1996, Musida has one younger sister named Zwonka Musida, who was born in 2007. Their mother Thandi Musida is a real estate agent.
Shudufhadzo earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Pretoria. She is advocate for mental health awareness and educational and economic empowerment of women and children.
