Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell, 26, of Cabot, Arkansas, United States has earned his fifth victory in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The undefeated mixed martial artist was one of the winners at “UFC Fight Night 181,” also called “UFC on ESPN+ 39” and “UFC Vegas 12.”

Featuring 11 MMA matches, “UFC Vegas 12” took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on October 31, 2020. In the co-main event of the evening, Mitchell fought Andre “Touchy” Fili, 30, of Sacramento, California, USA in the featherweight division.

Keith Peterson served as the referee. After three five-minute rounds, the featherweight contest was left in the hands of the three judge namely Chris Lee, Dave Hagen and Sal D’Amato.

In the end, Peterson raised the hand of Mitchell. The undefeated MMA fighter from Cabot was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “UFC Vegas 12” improved Mitchell’s professional MMA record to 14 wins and 0 loss. On the other hand, Fili now has 21 wins and 8 losses.

“UFC Vegas 12” marked the first Mitchell competed in the octagon wearing the camouflage shorts customized for him by Reebok. It was also his fifth fight in the UFC.

Competing professionally since 2015, Mitchell joined the UFC in 2018. The first four opponents he defeated in the promotion were Tyler Diamond, 29, of Oroville, California, Bobby “The Wolfman” Moffett, 30, of Homewood, Illinois, USA, Matt “Robo” Sayles, 26, of San Diego, California and Charles “Boston Strong” Rosa, 34, of Peabody, Massachusetts, USA.

Born in Cabot on October 4, 1994, Mitchell attended Cabot High School where he was a varsity basketball player. In February 2018, he won one of his two exhibition bouts in “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 27.

After defeating Jay “The Mellow Fellow” Cucciniello, 34, of Dublin, Ireland via unanimous decision, Mitchell was submitted via rear-naked choke by Brad “Superman” Katona, 28, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The Cabot native submitted his first eight professional MMA opponents namely Sheldon Smith, 28, of Missouri, USA, Jesse Sanderson, 28, of Tennessee, USA, Tony Williams, 28, of Tennessee, Chris “The Urban Legend” Culley, 34, of Victorville, California, Jorge Medina, 30, of Arkansas, Bobby Taylor, 35, of San Francisco, California, Brandon Phillips, 30, of Oklahoma, USA and Issac “Ironman” Ware, 35, of Tupelo, Mississippi, USA.
